Second, I'd like to ask for your opinions regarding a certain matter. While looking for information about Kame's new drama Kami no Shizuku, I came across several articles talking about a Korean adaptation of the manga. Apparently this version is also going to come out in early 2009. The main characters are going to be played by Bae Yong Joon, and possibly Choi Ji Woo too (the 2 stars from Winter Sonata, in case any body is not familiar with their names). I also heard that this drama is predicted to be a big hit in Korea, and it is going to be promoted on an Asia-wide scale, not only in Korea but in China and Japan too, yeah, Japan.
I also kind of wonder why NTV decided to produce the drama, when, from what I heard, the Korean side has gotten their permission from the authors to adapt the manga first (I'm perfectly happy that NTV decided to do it though). There is even some information that one of the manga's main characters is modeled after Bae Yong Joon, as the author is a big fan of his.
So, does anyone think that this is going to somehow affect the popularity of Kame's drama? In my country for example, if there are two versions, the one to be shown would most likely be the Korean one, and it even stars Bae - he is crazily popular in my country. Personally of course I would love to see the Japanese version the one promoted Asia-wide.
